Build In Factory Tie Downs In Bed

I was wondering if the GM tie downs in the bed would hold up to ratchet straps holding my 750 lb bike. I just wanted to hear you experiences.

I always try to use the tiedowns in the front and back of the bed. I crank on my tiedowns pretty good and nothing moves. I don't recommend sticking the tiedowns in the stake pocket holes because it will bend the bed when you crank hard. Lesson learned the hard way :-( DULH! Haul hay, fence, concrete, furniture, and anything else that fit in the bed using the tiedowns in the bed. Also hauled my dad's ATV with no issues, even had the tailgate off that day. It never moved.

I was strapping some furniture down yesterday with a ratcheting strap and noticed that the bed wall did actually start to pull in a little when I really cranked hard on the ratchet.

We dragged an 800lb moose in to the back of my step dads truck using an electric winch attached to the lower front hooks. The hooks held fine, but the bed walls did bend a bit when the moose got caught on a stump.

Now that's my kind of pickup story!

I've hauled an Electra Glide in mine already and had no problems, so I think you should be good to go.

A Electra Glide is what I'd be hauling.
