Hey Shooter Jennings just came out with a new album called The Wolf. He's got a southern rock sort of sound and its pretty good. One of the other interns I work with told me about his new video and its cool. Here's a link to check it out http://www.universal-south.com/shooterjennings/walk/

I like southern rock and he sucks, he at least could have came up with his own song and not a copy from Dire Straits , his voice is terrible. Well... Mark Knopfler he isn't. I wouldn't say it sucked but it wasn't exactly awesome. Pretty average stuff in my opinion. Not sure why he chose to cover an old Dire Straits song instead of doing something original. Never thought much of cover tunes or song remakes myself.

I don't mind covers at all. It's kind of interesting how a song can be rearranged. What I dont' like it a cover song right out the gate. That usually says that this is the most interesting piece of the disc. It's like they're trying to sucker you in.

Some remakes are GREAT. I love both versions of Knockin' on Heaven's Door, and the toe-jam-football song as well.

There was another version done in the 80's by a band called Heaven. It was cool back in the day, but when I listen to it now, blech!
