Does Anyone Have Roll-n-lock Cover On A Nbs Truck?

I am curious about the factory cargo management rails with this cover. They (roll-n-lock) say you cant use them and you have to buy their kit if you want rails. However if you watch the installation video nothing extends under the side rails of the bed so why would you have to remove the factory cargo management? I know the back rail must come off for obvious reasons. I like this cover but I am not happy with buying the cargo management and now they say its basically trash to me. Does anyone have any insight or knowledge of this product?

I have the Roll-n-Lock cover on my NBS 07. I have not seen the GM cargo management first hand so I can only guess at what the problem might be. I looked at the pics for the factory system, and it appears that the brackets/rails go up to the front of the bed. This may interfere with the Roll-n-Lock cover box that sits at the front of the bed. That's my guess.

 

If you find out the truth (the truth is out there), let me know.

Thanks for the info Phil. How much clearance is there on the box and the side of the bed. If you see where the 3 plastic plugs are down on the side of the bed that is where the factory cargo management mounts to. The rail itself is maybe between 1 to 2 inches thick. It doesnt extend past the top of the bed rail. How do you like the roll-n-lock cover after having it and using it?

The Roll-n-Lock mounts use the stake pockets and the hole in the bed side to mount the rails. It could be that the cargo management system uses one of these holes too.

 

I like the convenience of having the Roll-n-Lock cover. On my previous trucks I had either the vinyl tonneau covers (not secure but easy to remove/install) or the fiberglass lids (hard to remove but very secure). This cover seems to be a compromise of both worlds. It's out of my way when I need to access the bed for tall items. It's more secure than the vinyl. It's lockable like the fiberglass.
