Oversize Tire Adjustments?

need installation info for 285 75/16s on my 05 gmc 2500hd crew lb 4x4 8.1 Alli. have heard that some front end susp (and possibly rear susp) adjustments might be necessary to get them to fit? anybody know about any adjustments (if any are needed). had a 96 1500 ext 4x4 and just slipped them on

any brand recommendations, had dunlop canyon climbers on the 96, an awesome tire, but can't find them anymore. mainly HWY driving but want more aggr tread than stock

I've got 285/75/16 BFG AT TA KO's on my stock 07 Classic HD rims. They fit fine and I didn't have to do any trimming to get them to fit and I don't have any rubbing at all. I did tune the truck with a Superchips Flashpaq to compensate for the tire change (speedo recal and the 87 tune). I love the BFG's and I had 2 sets of them on my 03 1500 before buying the HD. There's a lot of great tires out there and everyone has their preferences. For me it's the BFG's. Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo's are great AT tires as well!! Good luck!

I have a truck identical to yours, just one year newer. I had a leveling kit installed on the front end and that was it. My 285's were put on my stock aluminum 16" rims and fit with no problem. There is a slight rubbing with the wheels turned hard while backing up. I have done no trimming and have had no other problems. Hope that helps.
