I think that may be the GVWR, which is what your truck is rated to be at fully loaded...It's probably more around 4,500 lbs.

6400 lbs is the GVWR of the truck, not the weight.

PM me your VIN,I can get a copy of the invoice and it will tell me exactly what it weighs.

Go into the "Sales" tab,Then click on "(BARS) Reprint Request" from there it might ask you for a BAC code, just enter one of your dealers codes and then click "submit",then click on the dropdown box on the right that says "Document",you want "stock vehicle invoice",then enter your VIN in the box to the left, then click "Search",your VIN should come up in the bottom box, just highlight it and click on "view"

It should come up for ya'!!

Oh...The shipping weight will be on the right-hand side of the invoice,it will say "SHIP WT: XXXX"

You can try mine Mike if you want,The last eight of my VIN is 7Z569885,with a dealer BAC of 113475.

According to Chevy's website the curb weight for a regular cab short bed 2wd is 4,453 lbs.
