Blend Door Motor Noise

Hi All,

 

I have been hearing this consistent ticking noise under the dash. I thought it was something to do with the instrument cluster, but it sounds like it is coming from the center of the dash underneath the console. It has slowly gone from very intermitent to constant and last night I was able to make it go away by turning both sides of the dual zone climate from cold to hot (yes, it is 80+ in Houston this weekend). It is not related to fan speed, only the position of the blend door.

 

Any advise?

Ok after some further digging, it turns out to be the blend door actuator. Part # 89018374 - $38 bucks at GM Parts Direct.
