Looking for help...my truck is cutting out at highway speed that is when you reach your crusing speed lets say 70mph the truck starts missing and loosing speed at this point you have to start pressing on the accelerator it will buck and shake then it will take-off as soon as you get back to a steady speed it starts agian. Note in town the truck runs fine maybe the odd miss at idol.

Have you done any electrical maintenance on your truck recently? Sounds like it could be an ignition issue or possibly the coil.

I did have plugs and wires about 15,000K ago nothing else truck has 227,000K on it.

Fuel pump.

I just changed the fuel pump in my 93. Cuts out all the time then finally dies. Hate to say this but if there are new plugs and wires. Has the coil and ignition module been changed? A coil will cut out at higher RPM's so would be my first choice.

 

Any other suggestions?

Have you ever replaced the fuel filter?
