2003 Ecsb Just Dies...need Help

Alrighty get a phone call from my step mom telling me that her 2003 ECSB 4.8 auto just stops running. She was low on gas so she fig. she just ran out of gas so she drifts to the pump fills the truck up and when she goes to start it nada. No attempt to start, to instrument light no nothing. The bad part is my father and I live in Baltimore and she is currently living close to Bristol, TN. Is this something that is common or easy fix like a d**n fuse blew or what. Any insight to help her look for somehting would be greatly appreciated.

The first thing I would do is check the connections on the battery, make sure they are not corroded.

The gas station she pulled into checked the terminal connection and they were clean and tight and they even disconnected the neg. terminal and reconnected it and they put a jump box on it and that did not help. I now know that it was towed to a local GM dealership. I just wanted to get any sort of heads up before the dealer comes back with something out of the blue.
