Difference In Rear Differentials

A quick search on the internet shows that there is no aftermarket locking differential for an 07 or newer GMC half-ton.

 

Can someone tell me if it is still the same 12 bolt diff., or is that a new unit?

 

Looking into buying a new truck, only option it doesn't have is Locking diff. Would like to change that!

Oops, I ment 10 bolt. not 12.

Yea, after a little more searching, I see there is no difference.... meaning its the same as the last 6 years+. 10 bolt, 8.6 ring gear.

 

My bad. Plenty of lockers out there!
