Adding Fog Lights

If i'm looking at my 08 correctly the front bumper is split in 3 right? I saw a few 07/08 with fog lights, Could i remove the right/left panel and add them on? (assuming i could get my hands on OEM gm lights)

You might consider searching the site for that info. Generally, most questions have already been answered a dozen or so times in random threads across the forum. As for your fog lights, there is no doubt it is possible, it's just unclear as to how much work it'll be. What you'll want to do is get a VIN from a truck that has the setup you are looking for, send that to GMPartsdirect.com and ask them for the exploded diagrams and part numbers for the fog light setup on the GMT900 Silverado. I think that is going to prove to be a large amount of work though. You'll probably need everything from the bumper corners, the lights, the mounts, the harnesses, a switch for the interior of the truck and some other random things. I'm guessing it won't be cheap. You might think about hitting your area salvage yards and hoping there's a truck with major rear end damage. Good luck, hopefully one of the Silvy owners here will have a bit more info for you.

Daddy is correct, you will need all the parts he listed and will cost you approx. $460 from GMPARTSDIRECT. I have the part numbers and cost for each if you are interested. The end caps come primed so you will need to get them painted to match your vehicle's color. The install is very easy, the only difficult and time consuming part is installing the harness since the one with the foglights connectors replaces the harness already installed.

I'm doing this mod little by little (that way the wife won't get too upset), got the harness and the instrument panel switch next are the fog lights and end caps.

Also the BCM has to be flashed to accept the fog lights so take that into consideration when you plan your budget for this.

25793793 forward lamp wiring harness, per the VIN supplied.

15926099 headlamp, instrument panel dimmer switch, dome lamp, and includes fog lamp switch.
