I think there was a post/thread here that showed a 13 sec RCSB Tundra,

I would like to show that guy that thought that the Tundra was fast.

This is a awsome. This is with a minimum things people do to their rides.

This is the video

Look at the video. Its what i want and should be able to do just with a 6speed conversion and tune if not more.

Yep, starting to see more and more high 13 second GMT-900 SD's with the 3 standard mods. Tune, Intake, Exhaust. Done. They already have the HP/TQ, just gotta let 'em loose.

interesting to see what another $2500 worth of mods (well spent) would do to the timing of the 1/4 mile. Keep in mind that this was a Crew Cab fat boy (compared to a RCSB)

Thats what i was thinking. There was a thread i dont remember here or onther forum, showing a high 13 sec RCSB tundra with minor mods i think. the Denali is doing it with minor mods and its a crew cab. Think about it. How fast would a rcsb 6 speed 6.2 would do.

Tell him congrats on that time.

I sure will. In addition to the couple mods he has, he plays around with HP Tuners quite a bit. It sounds like a pretty robust ediiting program for those who like to get in there and tweak settings themselves.

Is that markslive or something like that?

Said he was running 285 tires on that run? WTF

Mind you he still has stock 3.42 rear end.

Wow. All i can say is that 6speed does make a difference. Looks Like Toyota, and Nissan just lost the one thing that they claim thats better then GM.

The 6.2 definitely has a lot more to give. Butch over at Wester's Sales and I have been working on heating up the already very good 91/93 Hot Tune he offers. I bought a second PCM and had it flashed to my vehicle so Butch and I can send the original back and forth between us at our leisure. The only other performance mods I have are a K&N cold air kit and a Corsa exhaust (set to go on Monday). I've already recorded some fairly impressive numbers, and I think they should only improve with the exhaust. I can't touch his 1/4 mile times due to the parasitic AWD losses, but the 60 MPH and 1/8 mile numbers are very strong. Whenever we finalize the tune I'll get some solid numbers and post them here. And yes, the 6 speed certainly helps, but the engine is the star of this show.

Cool. Once I figure out how to do a conversion on the 6 speed mated to my 5.3 i should be in the 13's with more upgrades then he has.

I already have the intake/headers/Exhaust. Looking to get the Tune/Cam/Compression raised/6speed. This should put me in the 13's with 3.73's

Just hopping. If not oh well. Guess ill go turbo.

You don't need a 6spd to get there with a 5.3. Just go cam/tune/3000 stall/245 tires, 3.73's and your probably there.

    • You're better read than that Atlas. 😏   British science fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke formulated three adages that are known as Clarke's three laws, of which the third law – that "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" – is the best known and most widely cited.   Stribeck and the pivotable Hersey Number isn't voodoo nor snake oil. That part is physics. It's what marketing and bean counters do with it that is snake oil and voodoo.    Stribeck is the relationship between Hersey and the Coefficient of Friction. Within the Hersey Equation if viscosity and viscosity is 'Dependent' on.......heat.......and.......viscosity index or the temperature to viscosity slope.    Specifically Hersey is the viscosity AT THE TEMPERATURE IN THAT LOCATION FOR THAT SLOPE.   Hydrodynamic lubrication exist when the film thickness in the location is 3X the Ra roughness of the surface. This is irrespective of the hardness of the substrate. To obtain that thickness X viscosity is required for Y velocity at Z load. That's a lot of moving parts. It is also impossible to maintain in an ICE but nearly possible with a turbine under constant load.    What does that mean? Error heavy and operate light. Wear is inevitable but the rate of wear and the milage obtainable are a function of prevailing conditions and HABITS. The only penalty is viscous drag and at fractions so low as to be well worth the effort. Double the life, half the manufacturing carbon foot print. Greed is the only impediment.    The materials generated by SwRI are the RESULT not an estimation or a hypothesis.    Don't delude yourself sir, EV's have as many pitfalls as ICE's. We just don't know what they are yet and it will take longer to sort as MARKETING and GREEDY CEO's have had more time to polish the turd they are selling.
    • You can always count on greed to prey on ignorance and stupidity.    Friend bought a 2019 Ford Flex and asked me about using Valvoline R&P 5W30 in it. Told him give the miles on it and the fact it wasn't yet using oil that it was a good plan. He uses a Valvoline quick change shop for his oil service.   First they tell him that isn't the oil the OEM recommends. He told them he didn't care what the OEM thought. Then they floated the, "But it will void your warranty"    His reply was it's a 2019, there is no warranty and informed them their knowledge of the law was lacking.    Then they tell him 'But it will ruin your motor"!.    Mine to ruin he says. Finally they give in and charge him 150% the semi-syn price    Point it the brainwash is so embedded that even the service industry is drunk on their swill. The public is right behind them. Echoing the same lies on every forum and media platform. If the end goal is indeed EV then I'd say that ship is about built.
    • Diesel hit $6.00 here today at the truck stop.   Payed $2.79 for E85 today too.
