Will This Transmission Pan Work On A Nbs 4l60?

This is a derale pan that adds 2 quarts to the capacity. However it says it will not work with OEM deep pans. What do they mean by that and does the 2007 NBS have this type of pan?

I cannot be sure if you pan is the deep version or not. Mine is on my '02.

I doubt it. I have a 2005 and tried a similar pan from summit that would not work. If the 2007 has the transverse exhaust pipe at the rear of the pan then you absolutly need a stepped pan like C&A is referring too.

 

The pan I bought was 4.25" deep all the way around and there was about 6" between the OEM stepped pan and the exhaust pipe. The problem I ran into is even though the new pan would have enough clearance when mounted, I needed about 8"-9" of clearance, instead of 6", at the exhaust pipe in order to slip the pan below the valve body and mount it into position.
