anyone have 26s on their nbs silverado 1500? i have 22s right now, and they look like they are 15s in those big wheel wells.. i havent lowered my truck yet... but are doing so with a 2/4 kit after x mas. but i am thinking i wanna go with bigger wheels, hence my question. 26s??? if anyone has... what mods did you have to do to get them to not rub while turning. thanks in advance.

i havent really got that far yet hahhaaha... prob sell em i guess, better than them sitting there... or i might just keep them, and get some sort of bigger winter tire for them, then i have those for winter, and lo pros for summer. i remember seeing a pic of a 07 nbs with 26s in a truckin mag, but it didnt have any details, just a pic. but my 22s even rub slightly, without a drop.... so that scares me lol

You just need to do a leveling kit or do some minor trimming and deffinatley run a 30 series tire. heres a pic of one on 26's I've also seen a NBS on 28's but he had to do a 6" lift 76a65df847f82ca5310a707c60f0c662.jpg

man that looks sooooo sick. 30 series tire tho.. im not sure i can pull that off... i race motocross professionally, and im not always on the smoothest of terrain at all times... so a 30 series could be sketchy. might have to re think the 26 deal and run 24s, with a 35 series, and still run the drop...

anyone have any other ideas? (other than running a 35 series on 26s and basically taking out the whole wheel well lol)

I agree the 26's do look insanely bad ass but there not that functional especially on a frequently driven vehicle especially if you going to be going off pavement. A 35 series is as low as i'd go. You can always skip lowering it and lift it so you can run a big rim with a decent sized tire. here's a pic of the one on 28's

yeah imo that looks stupid on 28s (lifted) its like a donk... but a truck. i rather have something tucked in the wheel well... even if cutting is required. prob end up going with a 24, and a 35 series tire, maybe even a 40. prob be a cleaner set up, and more forgiving.

I know we're all different and to each his own....but man that truck looks terrible to me. And to think about all of the money it took to get it to look like that.

The black Silverado posted earlier with the 26s looks a lot better, though still not my style.

yeah the square wheel wells i think kinda didnt compliment these trucks at all. thats about the only thing i dont like... and when a truck is lifted like that red one.... it makes the wheel wells look even more stupid. not to mention the low pros on a giant lifted truck.... looks like a low rider got it on with a off roader... ghetto

to big is to big... no question, but to me, 24s on this big of a truck almost look to small. and those 26s on that black nbs are a little on the big side... where are the 25s at hahaha....

go with 24's if your going to lower it and 26's if you going to keep it stock height or higher it a bit.

Where are the horses? Nicest horse carriage I have ever seen though. Here's an idea: Take the engine out and sell it to the Amish.:thumbs::lol::lol::lol:
