Well, I Bought It...

I bought the truck I was talking about in another thread. '99 K2500 classic. Standard cab, 8 foot bed, LS. It has 165k miles on it, but it looks, runs and drives very good. They had no paperwork regarding the engine swap a couple years ago, and actually no paperwork at all, but after a good inspection and just how well it drives, I decided to buy it. It will make a great work truck and it should do what I need it to do very well.

I have no owners manual though. Is there a place online where I could download one or a portion of it if I need that information?

I will try to get a few pictures up in the next couple days!

Sounds like a good truck. I saw your other posts about it. I love the regular cab trucks too. In fact I am going to start referring to them as Correct Cab Pickups.

I have your owners manual in a PDF file that I can email you if you need it. It is the full 99 Silverado manual.

Let me know.

I also have 2000, 2001, 2002 2003 Silverado manuals in PDF format if anybody needs a copy.

Washed and waxed it yesterday and from 10 feet away, it looks like a new truck. Get closer and the scratches and wear marks start to show, but it does look great for 165k miles. I had the interior cleaned as well. The previous owner was a smoker and the odor was terrible! I will try to get some pictures today, if I don't get blown away or freeze to death first! The winter weather is in full swing today. The only thing missing is snow!

Zembonez, I sent you a PM. Thanks!!

My '02 was a smoker's rig before I bought it. Take the seats out, and soak that sucker in Fabreeze, headliner and all. When it dries...Do it again. I swapped out the in-cab filter to boot.

Wingnut, you had me confused for a second. I thought you meant soak the seats in fabreeze. I was wondering where you would get a big enough tub to put both seats in. Then wondered how much fabreeze you would have to buy. That is what tipped me off to what you meant. That was the blondest moment I have ever had. But I guess it is better than the 710 cap.

I didn't think it all through like you did, BJD3, but I thought he was suggesting that the seats should be soaked, too.. So, don't feel TOO bad... Or maybe we're both just being a little blonder than normal, today?

Merry Christmas, everybody!
