Needing some new better speakers for the Truck and wondering before I spend my money what some of you have used and were happy with, I once bought a set of Cerwin Vegas for my 96 Z71 EXT Cab and they sucked so I am in hopes that you guys will steer me in the rigth direction. Probrably staying with the factory stereo, just want some better quality sound and these old speakers have about had it ( can't turn it up past 1/4 - 1/2 way ).

Thanks in advance

if that is the case, try MB quart, Pioneer, or Infinity, those are the top three that I have used and if you are just running a stock headunit, then you might consider getting on that is very sensitive to power...

Can you fill me in a little on what to look for on speakers that are sensitive to power?

I always liked Polk Audio. They always seemed to have the best bang for the buck.

I wouldn't mind trying out some Polk Audios, I see Crutchfield has them for the front and not the rear of my truck, figures. Any suggestions on where to buy them?

With a stock deck you want an efficient speaker because of the low power output of the stock amp, Alpine Type S or Infinity Kappa would be a good choice.

Here is my post on my upgrade.
