1995 Gmc K1500 Abs Unit

My dad's 1995 GMC K1500 has a bad ABS Unit and I've been trying to find one for him. The dealer said 95 and 96 are the same and 97+ are different but the junk yards are saying 95-99 are the same and some 2000 used the same unit too. Does anyone know what years are the same on these? trying to find an ABS unit has been a pain in the butt. Two of the dealers he uses for his work trucks wouldn't give us a part number to check GMPartDirect.com for a better price and reference. Can anyone help? Thanks.

I'd tend to believe the stealership on this one. Is there any way to verify the part numbers on the junkyard units? I'm guessing any of them are going to be a bit spendy. Sorry, no help on specific years. Good Luck
