possibly looses wire....Ground, ignition, or power if the rcas come out I think the left and or right would be completely off.

need a little more information on they problem. check to make sure your fuse connector to the battery is secure and NO metal from the power wire is touching ANYWHERE. but you bought good high quality jl stuff so your equipment shouldn't be the problem.

what do you mean ignition

He means the "remote turn on".

This is something you will probably have to try and troubleshoot yourself. Here's where I would start.

Make sure you have easy access to the amp, carry a test like and a test speaker (speaker can be anything you have around that you know works) with you.

1) Is there a protection light on the amp? If so. is it on when the amp is not working?

2) If the light is off or there is not one, check to make sure you have ground, power, and power on the turn on lead (REM / Remote wire).

3) If all wires test correctly, then disconnect your subs and connect your test speaker to the output channels on the amp and see if there is any sound. If you have sound from the test speaker I would guess you have a bad sub.

4) If you still have no sound, the the RCA's need to be checked to see if there is sound getting to the amp. If so then you may have a bad input section on the amp.

Hope that helps to get you started.

exactly what -db said that is if you did it yourself....if you had it installed they should take the time to fix it. Me myself I only get the head unit installed because it's usually free and I install all the amps speakers and lots of dynomat myself because it makes me feel good inside ha ha. My speakers were making a fuzzy noise while playing a cd the last week so I checked the amp and tightened the speaker wire connection and it was good to go. These things can come loose say if your amp is under your seat and u move it back and forth alot.

oh the remote turn on or the wire to iginition is usually a very thin blue if that helps at all

He mentioned that it works when he takes it to the shop, which seems to be a common problem I have seen. The problem is who knows how long he would have to leave it with them for it to act up. In cases like this, if you are capable, your better off trying to trouble shoot it yourself, because you can check it right when it acts up. Then take it back to be fixed if it's a component problem.
