So What About The Gm Performance Exhaust?

Recommended Posts

Does anybody have input on the GM system for the new trucks and 5.3? I am trying to keep it "All GM" at this point if possible, all accessories I have so far are genuine.

I don't want anything too loud, at least at idle. I had Flowmaster BB series on a previous truck with a 7.4 Vortec and the throbbing at idle would make the wondows in the house vibrate when I idled it in the mornings for a winter warm up. No big deal to me, but my nice neighbor who worked nights finally complained

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Does GM make a performance exhaust for this truck?

What are the part numbers?

I'd like to look it up myself.

Well, removal of the spare tire is definitely out. I will have to go with something else. I noticed they had a "touring" version as well, I suppose that is the same though.

Thanks for the info!

I had a GMPP single pipe touring on my 05 ext cab Serra for a short while. It did NOT require you to remove the spare tire.

The pipes were 2.75 the same as stock. It was fairly quite with a small amount of drone. The GMPP exhaust will interfere with a helwigg sway bar.

Not nere as nice as a Corsa. A little quiter though.

You only have to remove the spare tire on the dual rear exit exhaust. The single side exit does not require removal of the spare as far as I know.

Before you order from GMPartsdirect.com I would check and see if they will ship to Anchorage. I ordered wheel well liners, a But Deflector, a tailgate lock and bed rail protectors and they wouldnt ship to Fairbanks. Their reason was that the parts can not be shipped to Alaska.

At least you have more than one dealer in the area, I got no options unless I happen to be going your way.
