Intermediate Shaft

I had my Wife's Yuk XL in yesterday and I mentioned to the Svc Writer that I my I shaft had started making noise again. I told him I had done the "pump procedure" and it had cleared it up for now. They were good enough to go ahead and replace it under warranty. My extended warranty expires next month so I am glad I told him about it.

It is likely a mental thing, but I swear it drives better and seems to be a little more precise.

I think they did an ECM update as well. When I got back in it and cranked it, the idle jumped to about 1200 and stayed that way until I almost got out of the parking lot. It has never done this and has not done it since. My Interceptor Scan Gauge was also set to different functions than when I left it. This tells me they had it unplugged for something or the Tech was just playing around with it.

The dealership where I bring my truck to replaced the intermediate sterring shaft in my truck as well a couple of months ago before the warrenty expired. Funny though is that I didn't report a problem with it. They got confused.....oh well, free fix. ;)
