i havea 1988 c1500 scottsdale with the delax heater option vent floor or deforst with the turn knob for fan speed . well i have no heat from vents or floor but i have defroster after truck warms up for 30 or so mins but my temp gauge never gose above 100 i changed thermostat .any ideas what else could be wrong ?

The first place to start. Take a thermometer take off the radiator cap let the truck run and see what the real temp is. There could be a chance the coolant temp sensor is incorrect. If thermometer does show the same as your temp gauge then shut off the engine and check the cooling fan. if the cooling fan is hard to turn then the fan is your problem.

 

For your engine to run at 100 deg the only possibilities our bad thermostat, bad seal around the thermostat allowing coolant to bypass it, or the fan clutch not disengaging.
