Grille And Tailgate Emblems?

Does anybody know if the emblems on the grille and the tailgate are interchangeable on a NBS Silverado?

On a 07-08?

 

The tailgate bowtie is just stuck on with tape (smooth flat back), while the grille bowtie clips on, so NO...they arent interchangeable.

 

I removed my tailgate bowtie and I have a billet emblem on my grille.

Ok that makes sense. Thanks! What I want to do is paint the one in the grille black to match the truck and then get a chrome/polished one for the tailgate. The gold just doesn't match the rest of the chrome on the truck.

I called around and found a place that just started producing them. They aren't even on their website yet. You can get them in polsihed chrome. I chose the chrome which was a little more expensive ($63). Anybody who is interested you can go here:

I've seen a billet bowtie on the back of a new black Tahoe. It looked really good. Haven't seen one on a truck.
