New Truck Owner 2wd Lift Kits Need Opinions

I'm new to the truck world last truck I had was a 1989 nissan hardbody so much has changed I'm excited about all the new things you can change on the trucks now a days.I have a 2008 silverado 2wd ext cab I keep swaying between just going with a level kit and being done with it or going with a 4-6 lift.I see CST,Pro Comp,BDS,Fabtech,Rancho make a kit I'm not planning on doing much offroading but I might I like the way they look lifted.Give me your opinions on the lifts the quality of the parts any PICS would be great to see thanks guys.Doug

umm lets see it depends on how high you want to go. fabtech is the best for 2wd trucks, bds has best warranty. cst only has a 4.5 inch lift kit and thats it. it depends so there are plenty out there.

IMO if you can afford it, and the higher step up isn't a problem, go with the bigger lift and tires. After you upgrade the tires though you may want to change the gear ratio in the rear end to pick the gas mileage, and acceleration back up.
