Well I am going to order a new Tahoe probably in the next month to month in a half. There are none around (2wd LT1) Any input? Did you buy similar (what did you pay?) Option wise anything you would have to have?

If not mistaken, the 6.2 L with the 6 speed auto is available now for the 2wd Tahaoe. I am betting the mileage is every bit as good if not better, plus the power you get with the 6.2L. I believe the option is under 1000.00, I think someone mentioned 895.00, not sure on that. I would check into that if ordering. That would be a great combo. Its like having the 09 powertrain in an 08.

The 6.2 with the 6 speed auto, is a brand new option that just came availble on the 2wd tahoe only. It just happend a a few weeks ago. The hybrid use a 6.0L not the escalades 6.2L , last time I checked anyway.

Since the other thread about the 6.2 was talking about LTZs, I did several build and price's senarios on chevy's website, it looks like its only available on the LTZ modes. I also discovered its a 1295.00 option at list price. Thats probaly a little over a 1000.00 at invoice. The kicker is having to jump up to the top of the line LTZ model to get the option. I still think its the best powertrain GM offers not only for the power, but the 6 speeds economy should be similar to the less powerfull 5.3s and there 4 speed auto combo.

Nah, dont want leather if I was going to go up to a higher model i would get a 4wd Z71. The 5.3 is fine, I really want it for the flex fuel. Is the 6.2 flexfuel capable (I am assume no)
