Need Opinions!

Hey guys, I drive a 98 gmc sierra 4x4, I just recently bought some 33 inch buckshots from my uncle for it.

I sort of want to get 35 inch tires and a three inch body for it, but i dont know if this is the best way to go buy lifting my truck, I mean are bodylifts that bad? or will a 3 inch body do the job for the 35's? I also want to know what you guys think about the stock rims? should i stick will them for a while or try to go with some cheaper ones that look better? Keep in mind that i am still in college, therefore i do not have a ton of money, opinons would be awesome on what tires would prolly be the best for a cheaper kind of budget.

Help would be greatly appreciated,

body lifts are ok of wheel clearance, suspension lifts are the better way to go for off road use and overall clearance, if your stock wheels are wide enough to fit the 33s or 35s without rubbing keep em

Stock wheels on a '98 1500 are 7.5 inches wide I believe, on a 2500 they are probably 6.5". 7.5" is wide enough for a 33" tire, but not a 35" tire. A 6.5" is big enough for a 32 inch tire, although there are people that run 33's on them.

Ok, First, there is nothing wrong with a 3" Body lift. Second, Everybody and there mother runs 35s/315s on stock wheels with a Body lift. Just do it. You can find countless pics over at fullsizechevy.com
