Intake

looking at getting a k and n fipk for my 04 with the 5.3, any just wondering if people thought this was a purchase that would be worth investing in, of course this will be the first in many upgrades. thanks.

Im not a big fan of aftermarket air intakes.. You could build something that would work just as good for 50 to 100$ They do make a cool noise though..

Hey Joe,

I had an 04 with quite a few motor mods. I had a Volant brand intake and I really liked it. It makes the motor have a throaty tone by itself and will maximize exhaust tone when you get to that point. IMO the intake is worth the money, its performance and its looks d**n good under the hood compared to the stock intake.
