What Steel Wheels To Rat Rod Out My '00 Sierra?

I got some 90's 4x4 Suburban steel rims so that I could lower and rat rod out my 2000 GMC Sierra extended cab but the rims hit the calipers. Is there another 6 lug steel wheel out there or would it be o.k. to 'clearance' the calipers?

I just picked these up:

The wheel you show in the pic ran through 1999. The 5 spoke styled wheel started in 2000. There may have been a caliper change starting on the 2000 chassis. The wheels you have started in 1988, GM wouldn't have retooled for a new wheel without necessity.

Awesome links nytemare, thanks! There's a guy that comes into work who has those Centerlines on his crew cab and they are SICK! His truck is solid red and low. Looks awesome with those smoothies.

Those Stockton wheels would work for sure. I was hoping to find something in the junkyard that would bolt up. I actually got these wheels dirt cheap (duh, who wants 'em?)

Would it harm anything to grind the outside of the caliper for the rims I have? I don't see what it would hurt and it would only be a little bit.

Yes, It will do all kinds of hurt to grind the calipers.

They're made with internal passages, so you don't know when you will grind into something you shouldn't have. The metal thats there is there for a reason, the calipers take a load of pressure when you stomp the brakes man.

The other option is to get some wheel spacers and longer studs and make the wheels you have fit that way.
