Sprayed The Rear Wheel Wells.

Looks nice but you might want to hit the frame rails too. They stand out now that the fender wells are nice and black.

Not sure that would work too well since the frame rails have a wax coating on them.

Not to hijack the thread, but I've been told that several people have had the Rhino or Line-X bed liner material sprayed in the rear wheel wells. Anyone done this? I assume it works well. However, I did have a GMC Dealer tell me yesterday that if you spray this section GM will not repair any rust issues in that region since the lining material might of covered / blocked a drain hole.

There are no drain holes in the rear wheel wells. I undercoated mine as soon as I got the truck. It seemed incredible to me that GM would leave bare painted metal in an area constantly blasted by gravel, sand, dust, snow, slush and salt. I used rubberized undercoating spray. The layer is thin enough so it will not crack and trap any moisture. The key here is not to cake on brush on undercoating too thick so it can trap water underneath and thus cause rust to form.

Thin sprayed-on undercoat layer protects the metal from nicks and pits which will cause surface rust in no time.

How about some plastic liners GM? Standard from the factory?

I'm not sure either but I used to spray flat black on the frame of my '91 every so often and it had 15 years worth of Indiana grime on it. Anything, even if for only a 3-6 month period is better than nothing.
