first off love the forum, heres my question, i have a 2008 chevrolet silverado Z71, i bought a set of 20 inch polished OEM rims from an 2008 tahoe with 12 miles on them from a friend. installed new tires, and service tire monitor light came on, what do i need to do to get my truck to recognize the new sensors? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum!

A TPMS learn through your DIC (3rd button from top) should solve the problem. If you still get the service tire monitor system error it will require a dealer trip to correct the computer.

May or may not be a freebie since you do not now have the original wheels on the vehicle. Even if not, it is a quick fix and should not be exorbitant.

nevermind, actually had that information in my owners manual.... go figure :D

I've done the learn procedure before and still had the error and had to go to the dealer with it.
