Knock Sensor Rusted

hey guys i have an 04 GMC and about two months ago i had the knocked sensors replaced and the other day i was driving down the road and the engine light came on well that weekend got the guy to changed them again (for some odd reason they went bad and i do no off-roading what-so-ever always try to keep it clean as possible, and i have not washed the engine out with the water hose) ne ways after he got to pulling the old ones out the front looked brand new but rear one (replaced both of them at one time about 2 months ago) was rusted terriabley like rusted complety looked like it had been in there for 30 years. may'be their is a hair-line crack in the block??? ne body else had this problem??? please help

Is the foam in place on the front and back of the manifold? If not, get some on there. Also, you can help the situation by using some RTV on the protective covers.

you might of not tightened the sensor so replace it and try it again
