What Are The 07 / 08 Nnbs Ecm And Tcm Part No's

Anyone know what the part no's are for the engine control module and transmission control module for my 5.3L truck. Want spares before I send out for a tune.

You can go out to your truck and pop the hood. Both the TCM and PCM are mounted by the battery tray in the front of the engine bay on the driverside. There is just couple of plastic hooks that hold them in place. The numbers are on the back of the units. They both have Service numbers on them. The PCM is an 8 digit service number (the part number). The TCM has a longer number, and for me the first 8 digits were the part number. The numbers I have are 12597121 for the PCM, and the TCM is 24234503.

I just bought 5 sets for my work trucks and had Nellson tune them. I have the GM part #,s in my office i will post the first thing Monday morning. I might have a new extra set i will have to look if you are interested.

Here is an option I would also consider:

 

A set of spare modules will cost between $300-$400. Why not just get yourself a copy of HP Tuners software for $499? Then you won't need spare modules, you will have the ability to store as many tunes as you want, including the stock tune and they will be right there ready and waiting at a moment's notice. Also, no waiting for your tuner of choice (ahem, Nelson or Wheatley) to mail them to you every time you want an update. This way the tunes can be e-mailed to you.

 

This is what I wished I would have done. In fact, I am STRONGLY considering selling my spare modules and getting HP Tuners. But for me I would also need to buy a laptop. I'll probably be buying a laptop and HP Tuners sometime in the next few months.

Im trying to avoid the history tracking that our 07/08 PCMs have. This link talks about diesels but our gassers have the same tracking from what I understand. I don't want a warranty issue.
