Alright i dont have a intake on my truck just the K&N OEM Airfilter. soooo I bought a 14 inch Edelbrock pro flow air cleaner, and got rid of the tubes going to the side of the fender, i swear to god i can atually tell a little bit of a difference. i was a little suprised, but i was then thinking, the air filter is only 2inch tall so i could get a 3inch tall 14" round air filter from k&N and boost my hp up even more. the threaded stub on top of air cleaner is long enough.

 

not only that but now i have room for a 2nd battery

 

Do you think it will be worth the $40-50 bucks for the air filter?

 

P.S - i read on the website it will gain 6.XXXX HP with the air cleaner so if i get the air filter it will gain that much!

 

P.S.S My Truck has MANY MANY Upgrades/ New Parts pics will be coming soon i just need to get a few more things that are ordered!

Ahh, never mind i found that the k&N is less than $30 bucks for a 14"x3" air filter so i will defintly be getting it.

 

theres just something about k&N that i think is so much better especially since you can clean them unlike regular air filters, then i was thinking a outerware to go over top of it

the bigger air filter you get will not always give you more hp. Your engine will only suck in so much air that it needs and you could have a filter on as big as your hood and it won't add more power. Only if the filter is clogged or very undersized in the first place will getting a bigger one make a difference.
