Gm Exhaust Tips

Guys,

I was looking around for another way to spend money on my truck and I saw these exhaust tips on gmpartsdirect. My question for ya'll is how are these two items different? The descriptions say one is double walled and the other is single walled. Is this just aesthetics? Or is it more than that? What benefit does the double wall provide? If its just aesthetics how much better does the double walled one look. I'm assuming the double walled is better, being that it cost slightly more. Any way, thanks for the feedback.

Double-walled is the way to go. There are normally 2 layers of metal pipe which will help reduce heat and prevent the tips from changing colors. You've probably seen other generic single-walled tips turn gold or yellow. That's from the heat.
