Bowtie History

Does anyone know where the Bowtie Emblem came from?  I just found out today, after years of being a Chevy guy.  Actually, I never really thought about it until a co worker asked me.  Here's the link to find out supposedly how it got started.  http://www.chevrolet.com/history/early/index.htm  Scroll down to the year 1914.

I knew that the idea came from some wallpaper, I just didn't know it was that long ago.

That's pretty much exactly the way I was told about it's birth,along with the Louis Chevrolet story.
