Low Vaolume When Using Tuner

Our 05 Tahoe has the regular (non lux) Bose system and I, personally, think it sounds great, when using the CD player.

 

But, when listening to the radio, either normal or XM, it's like the system really loses it's umph. Is there a way to adjust the input level up, of the radio/XM part of the system?

 

While listening to the radio, there is barely any bass and it has to be turned almost all the way to "10", to equal the loudness of it playing a cd, at half volume. It's like the difference between listening to a nice home stereo system and then going to the crappy speakers in a computer.
