Factory Radio Mp3?

Recommended Posts

I m thinking about talking out my Kenwood radio and putting my factory radio back in, does anyone know if the radio is MP3 ready (see image below). Also I know they have aux input on them i was just wondering if i could use a mp3 player if the CD player is not mp3 ready.

Thanks for your help.

No, that unit will not play MP3s, but there are adapters that allow you to add an auxiliary input to it.

What's wrong with your Kenwood?

There is nothing wrong with the kenwood it just that it a flip touch screen and because of the gear shifter i cant have it open on its own so its closed all the time. Do you know were i can get the adapters for the aux in put?

I have a factory MP3 radio from a GMC Canyon that I think will fit. It fits a lot of other GM products. It's in great shape. I'll sell it for $80.00.

PM me if you want more info.
