20" Wheels-modifications To Fit?

I have a 2004 Silverado 4WD Crew Cab and have a chance to upgrade to 20"wheels. I currently have 18"s with Nitto Terra Grapplers 285/60/18. If I upgrade to a 20 inch wheel and go with say 275/55/20 tire, will I have to do any modifications to accomodate the upgrade? The suspension is stock, and would rather not do anything to it. If anyone has pictures of 20's, without doing any suspension mods, I would appreciate it!

 

On a side note, what if I go with 22's? The tire would be a 305/45/22. Would this require any mods as well? Thanks for the input! Just a newbie trying to get some advice!

 

I might just stick with the 18s and go with new tires.......I don't know......I really like some of the 20s that are out there, but worry about messing with the suspension.

Welcome to the site. Try using the search feature and/or the advanced search feature on this site and you'll be amazed at the wealth of knowledge you'll find. There have been numerous conversations covering precisely this question. The guys here are a great source of info but giving the search button a try will usually get you results faster and also keeps people from answering the same things over and over again. I just went from 285/60/18's to 275/55/20 on my stock 04 2wd no problems.

Do you by chance have a picture? Did you notice much difference in ride height? That would be the exact tire I would be looking at too. Thanks for your response!
