Wow, I have to say after all this waiting and debating I am so glad I got the magnaflow catback rear side exit. What a sound that comes out of that thing. Its a nice deep rumble...a loud enough rumble to attract attention but not loud enough to drive me nuts. I love it. Anyone thinking about a catback I highly recommend MAGNAFLOW....I will try to have some pics and clips by the end of the week....when it gets warm again....DADDY I have to thank you partly because I kept looking at ur magnaflow pics and hearing your sound clips....and of all the different sound clips urs had the nicest deep rumble to it...eactly what I was looking for.

Have you driven at all at highway speeds? Just wondering if there is any "drone". Can't say that I'm actively looking at an aftermarket system, but my biggest fear in getting something is that drone sound while driving down the highway that would drive me nuts. A buddy of mine has a cat back system (not sure off the top of my head what it is), but driving at 60-70 mph down the highway it drives me bonkers.

In my ideal world it would be louder off the line but as quite as stock down the highway, not sure that really exists though. :shakehead:

What is the point of putting after market exhaust if you don't want the exhaust to be loud? Might as well keep it stock, I like loud exhaust which is why I'm going to install 40 Series Flowmaster Exhaust. How does Magnaflow sound on a Vortec Max?

My Magnaflow is really quite on the highway not as quite as stock though. But off the line it sounds awesome. Really happy with mine. :D

Yeah, I agree with you, which is why I'm probably not going to bother with it. Isn't really much of a performace improvement either w/o headers and a tune and some other stuff, which would be why I probably wouldn't do it at this point. I just couldn't stand a long trip hauling a heavy load with that constant drone in the cab. Plus, I would want an increase in low end if anything (not exactly the strong suit of free flowing exhaust alone). Oh well, a dream for another day.

KPZ71, good to here that it sounds good off the line while not too annoying on the highway, I'll have to keep it in my memory banks for the future.

Ya I drove it around today for awhile, and where I had it installed they told me between 1600-1800rpm I will notice the drone. Now to me me it seems the same the whole way through the rpm range, just louder as you open it up. I did put it on a 120km/hr cruise to see what it was like. And of course you hear the sound of the exhaust at a constant tone, but its not as bad as people make it out to be I think...I don't think any aftermarket exhaust is as quiet as stock, thats y stock exhausts have resonnators on them to keep them quiet. I personally like to hear the exhaust while I am driving I love the deep sound of it. Magnaflow is not a loud exhaust so the drone is alittle noticable but not annoying. Definitely recommend it to anyone...

Very cool! Glad that you are pleased with the results!

Hey I was listening to your GM Touring Exhaust Clip the other day...it has a nice rumble as well...I thought the touring would have been quieter but it sounds sweet. Pretty close rumble as the magnaflow...

iv got to agree wich is why I went with the flowmasters I was worried the magnaflows would be to quiet. but when it comes down to it, its all about personal opinion. I'm happy for you will, I'm sure it sounds nasty on that 6.0. and huero dual it out! you won't be disapointed. :shakehead:
