Spun My Wheel!

Recommended Posts

I guess I turned my steering wheel too far when I lubed my i-shaft.

the message center has :servive air bag: and my steering wheel controls dont work.

Does anyone know what parts I need to fix this? I"ve heard a sir coil and a clock-spring are these the same item? any help would be helpful.

Thanks in advance

Yepper, you're SOL with the clock spring. When ever work is being done to the steering system you MUST make sure the steering wheel is immobilized. One good way of doing it is to wrap the seatbelt through the bottom of the wheel and click it. This will keep it from spinning.
