Alignment

I was talking with my tire guy about an alignment and turns out he had an opening last Saturday

He let me hang out and crank my torsion keys right on there (awesome) lift. My truck was almost a 1/2" lower than stock. We maxed out the bolts and got just shy of 1.5" above factor height. The 8.1/ally must have taken there toll on the torsion bars over the years (01 with 70k). I installed the cognito pitman/idler arm support kit and noticed a huge difference in the steering. But now after the alignment, I think this truck steers better than a new truck and I have bald tires. I assume my camber was off due to the truck sitting to low. They have a new Hawk alignment system that uses laser sensors that mount to the wheels and all the parameters are shown on the computer. Very impressive system. We are dealing with adjustments of .02 degrees.

On a not so good note, the last guy that aligned the truck stripped out the caster adjuster on the passenger side front of the upper a-arm. The truck drives perfectly straight right now but the caster is off. Will this hurt anything while i try and run these bald tires throughout the summer?

Am I right in thinking that I can't change the bolt and adjuster without getting another alignment?

Also what kind of job is this? Are there any special tools needed?

I Appreciate any help.
