DOES anyone know of a 275/70/17 in a load range D

 

70 series tires are rarely rated D or E. If you go to a 245-75-17, you get the same overall height and have some D and E rated choices. I don't claim to know why this is... just that I have run into the same issue with some of my customers.

I believe that is still an inch shorter than a 275/70.

 

So is there any D or E 275/70/17.

 

There has to be one tire manufacture out there.

I have wondered the same thing. There are a lot of 70 series tires that are D or E. Many companies make a 265/70/17 and a 285/70/17 tire in load range D, but I have never seen one in a 275. I have looked at many many different tire websites too. A load range C tire would be fine for a 1500. Many of the older style 33x12.50x15 tires are C and I've seen people tow/haul some pretty decent loads with those. Good luck.

Most people opt for 285's or 265's. That would seem to me to be the reason for fewer choices in a 275.
