Seems Small?

I got some borla dual stainless exhuast pipes from a buddy of mine for my 2004 silverado. He had a 2000 silverado but I think they should fit okay. I just have to weld up some mounts. The pipes are only 2 1/4 inside diameter. Isn't that a bit small for this truck? He has the 5.3 as well. Thanks

They design their stuff to work well. The two pipes together make for plenty of pipe for the exhaust... A lot of people think huge piping is needed but the truth is, you need a little back pressure to avoid losing low end torque. You could do like a lot of others and run some larger tips.

Yea it has tips already welded on. I want to put a flowmaster delta 40 series on it. I want to keep it all stainless steel but trying to adapt flowmaster to them pipes is causing a hell of a problem. Thanks again
