BDPatriot13 Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 What EXACTLY does a body kit do for you? which is better, leveling or body lift?
zxcv Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Body kit adds apearance - thats about it. At high speeds you'll notice that it is a bit easier to control, as the air is not lifting your truck (more downforce). And those high speeds equal around 150km/h. No clue what that is in MPH, but if you get caught going that fast, it'll cost you a lot...if your truck will go that fast in the first place. Body kits are also great for plowing snow in the winter, and finding where curbs are. A leveling kit is much better than a body lift. A leveling kit lifts the suspension and will give you a bit of clearance. A body lift just lifts the body and does nothing really except make your truck easier to roll. edit: Spelling.
Griffin86 Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Body lifts also take 10x longer to install than Leveling kits and are a PITA sometimes. Body lifts let you run bigger tires which helps you with clearance also.
