Another "fog Light" Question...

 Okay seriously now...

My truck did not come with the factory one so I had installed aftermarkets with h3/55watt bulbs. The kit came with relays and a switch like most do.

So I bought some OEM foglights without the wiring and I picked up some 9145ST and 9005ST bulbs to go with it (haven't decided on wich to go with yet) and some bulb plugs.

What I need to know is, which side is positive and which side is negative?

I'm guessing that the black wire is negative in the pic and the purple is positive but I really don't want to guess and mess something up bad.

Can someone with a test light check for me? or if you honestly know please LMK.

On a side note I'm leaning towards the 9005ST since they're only 10watts more than what I'm currently running.

Black wire should be the ground. Light bulbs function either way actually. They create light by shorting out the current and illuminating through the superheated filament. You aren't going to hurt anything.
