Swaping Steering Wheels For 1 With Audio Controls

I have a 2006 Silverado LS 2500HD x cab with Dmax, my stock steering wheel has no audio controls on it (Truck has no Lux, no nav, no Bose) I'm about to replace the head unit with an aftermarket head unit (Kenwood DNX 5120) and was wondering if I find a 2006 (or other year) steering wheel that has audio controls on it can be swapped in? (is there a wiring harness in place to support it? I know the Kenwood head unit has an adaptor available to work with factory remote steering wheel controls. Now I just have to see if I can swap steering wheels?

You need to replace the wheel and the clockspring. Be sure to get the correct clockspring for your truck. The airbag connection is different between the trucks. The clockspring is not cheap so look for a good deal.
