2008 2500hd 6.0- Oil Pressure ?'s

Hello, I am new to your site and I can already see that there is a lot of good info found here. I just purchased a new 2500HD 4X4 with the 6.0 motor( This my first GM truck in 15 yrs). My questions are concerning the proper oil pressure. When my truck is started cold the pressure at idle runs about 40-45, when up to temp. the pressure goes to 20-25, when running 70 mph the pressure stays around 35-39. Is this normal pressure? The truck has about 700 miles on it now. Will the pressure come up after the first oil change? What oil (5w-30, 10w-30, sae-30, etc)do most folks run in there 6.0's????

The pressures you are seeing with your '08 6.0 is consistent with what I am seeing on my '05, 8.1L with 10,000 miles on it. An I'm using 5w40 synthetic oil.

They are also consistant with my 2007 NBS 6.0L - I use 5W-40.
