Some Gauges Work Intermittently

I have a 1999 Chevy Z71 and on an intermitten basis when starting vehicle my gas gauge and temp gauge don't work, the message center flashes between low fuel, bad battery and security and my ABS light stays on. The next time I start it up, all of the above are working fine. What is causing these malfunction? Thanks.

Neither stick.. Can you expand on the cluster? Not sure where that is located.

Instrument panel cluster. The device with the mileage, warning lights and all the gauges in it.

lol yeah sry.. should of used a looser term... im used to sayin cluster at work.. hahah. yes the IPC ( Instrument panel cluster)

I had the same thing hapen to me on my 2005 GMC Sierra. It turned out to be the main computer board behind the dash that controls everything (Cluster??) I found out that whoever installed the aftermarket radio used a hot wire from the computer board for power to the radio.... I guess this is a no no. Anyway, the board was replaced, the radio wiring was corrected and I haven't had a problem since. That was about $500 and 2 months ago.
