Heated Seats Won't Shut Off - Regal

Sorry for extending this question in the truck forum. My wife's 2002 Buick Regal LS; passenger heated seat stays "ON" without the key in the ignition and the switch selector in "HI". Isn't this circuit controlled by the ignition key? Why would it be working without the key (mysterious short)? What can I check as part of the troubleshooting process. Is there a wiring diagram I can refer to? I've disconnected the green and black connectors leading to the heating element for the interim.
