Ecm Update?

A buddy of mine at the diesel forumns stated today that his service department called him and told him that there was going to be an ecm update for the new lmm model diesels that deals specifically with the trucks fuel mileage. Has anyone eles heard of this if so let me know as it would be nice to get a little extra out of the truck with the way prices are these days.
