Have you checked the placard in your glove compartment to verify you do not have the G80 option? I would do that first.

If you are asking how difficult it is, you've most likely never installed a posi unit, locker, or other type of differential. You would be best to let a professional do the install. It requires some skill and knowledge, along with the proper tools. Not saying you cannot do it, but if you are asking the question, that tells me you are not familiar with the process.

It will not change the ride quality, if properly installed.

On something this critical, I would buy the unit from the shop that you have do the install. The last thing you want is to have the seller pointing a finger at the installer and the installer pointing a finger at the seller, and you in the middle with either a bad install or a defective unit, and not knowing what the heck just happened. Also, do your homework, check out the installer. Make sure they know their stuff.

Ok, i had a k1500 1994, and i hate the way the rear axle functioned. It has sounds, kicking problems..

What i do not want is to get this on my 08 new truck.

I live in Venezuela, I have a 4wd LT but, without the G80 code on the glove box :(....

Just, i want know if theres:

1. I bought in INTERNET... an special part for my truck.

2. I take the truck to the mechanics

3. I have no problems!!! hahhaa...

I basically need to know if there is any adjustment at eye, that can change the way it come from factory. Rememeber It isnt the same somethign assambled in Manufaturing plant, that in the dealers....
