Clunking Noise In Front Suspension!

Recommended Posts

Posted

Ok, so lately, I've been hearing a clunking noise coming from the front suspension (driver's side) on my 07 GMC Sierra NNBS. It's sounds pretty loud when I go over bumps on the road and I sometimes hear it when I accelerate from a complete stop. I've got step bars so I thought that maybe they were coming loose, but I double-checked the bolts and made sure they were pretty tight. Is anyone having this problem or at least know what it may be?

There is not anywhere near enough downward suspension travel with these NBS coil over shock front suspensions. You may just be bottoming out.

I was concerned enough when I first got my '07 that I mentioned it when it was up on the rack at the dealer. Everything was tight. My '06 with the older torsion bars behaved very differently.
